Microsoft has already announced the Surface Duo Android device earlier this month, and those who pre-order the new dual-screen model are projected to receive it on September 10.

In the meantime, the excitement isn’t fading away, and many people want to try out the Surface Duo themselves before the September shipping date.

The good news is that you can actually do this right now, as Microsoft revealed that some partners already have some units on display for anyone to have some hands-on time with them.

More specifically, Best Buy and AT&T, both of which will sell the Surface Duo after September 10, can provide you with a demo unit of the device, according to the software giant itself.

“For those interested in seeing/trying Surface Duo before purchasing, they’re welcome to visit Best Buy stores beginning August 12th, and AT&T stores beginning August 28,” Microsoft said.

The first Microsoft Android device

Surface Duo is Microsoft’s very first Android device, and it comes with a dual-screen factor that aligns with the Surface strategy of doing things differently from the rest of the companies.

Despite coming with specs that have left many hoping for more, including an old-generation Snapdragon processor and just one camera, the Surface Duo is only in its early days, and Microsoft itself suggested that a second model would be coming at some point in the near future.

Surface Duo runs Android 10, and choosing Google’s mobile operating system was a decision that many Microsoft fanboys didn’t really like, especially because Microsoft itself has also launched Windows 10X, an operating system specifically aimed at dual-screen and foldable devices.

For now, the Surface Duo is a real thing now, so if you can’t wait for the September 10 shipping date, now you know what you have to do. Just head over to AT&T or Best Buy to get a taste of the Duo ahead of everyone else.
