14 DAY TRIAL // Usually, whenever a Kardashian or a Jenner does something nasty, offensive or unpleasantly surprising, the first fall guy is their mother and manager / momager, Kris Jenner. She rules the Kardashian - Jenner empire with an iron fist and is said to have pushed her daughters into doing stuff no mother would want to see their kids doing.
According to Kris, speaking with Extra in a new interview, she is actually the last one to find out about certain things and she has no power in terms of changing her daughter’s minds about them. Take Kylie’s lip injections, for instance.
Kylie Jenner’s clown lips were a “mistake”
Rumors that Kylie was getting some kind of work done started making the rounds online about a couple of years before she turned 18, with insiders claiming that Kris was forcing her to get it so she could keep up with her more famous siblings.
Even after it became clear that she’d gotten lip injections, she continued to deny them, saying her plumper lips were a trick of the eye, made possible by overlining and filling both lips.
Kylie eventually came clean on the topic, admitting to fillers and saying that having thin lips had always been an insecurity of hers. The way she went about solving it wasn’t right, Kris tells the celebrity e-zine (video below).
“I get a little crazy – and I think that is what no one sees – and I do have definite thoughts and ideas on what she should do, you know, at a really young age,” she says. “I am from the generation that in my day, I mean, some of this stuff did not exist for sure but, I don’t think I did one thing physically to myself until I was in my 50s. So I am thinking… why, why?? Why do you need to do that? I got really upset, and then it was done, and I had to let it go. Once that was done, it’s just my kid. I love my kid. We make mistakes.”
The physical transformation triggered a boost in popularity
It might sound like Kris is sorry that her daughter hardly resembles the Kylie from 3 years ago, but she won’t deny that the physical transformation completely transformed her career.
Once Kylie started getting stuff done, she started getting more attention, which she made sure to maximize with everything that she did. Right now, Kylie’s resume includes author, designer, model and businesswoman, and she’s also emerging as the most popular of the Kardashian - Jenners after the launch of their new blogs and apps.
As her manager, Kris gets 10% of everything she makes, so the more Kylie is paid, the happier Kris is.
