14 DAY TRIAL // Chinese company Huawei is expected to launch at least one high-end smartphone at this year's IFA trade fair, which is set to kick off in early September.
The Huawei Mate 7 Plus that we reported on yesterday is likely to make its debut on September 2, while the Mate 8 is rumored to arrive early next year.
Until then though, Huawei has another launch event that will take place on July 30 where the major handset maker is expected to unveil at least one entry-level Android smartphone.
Thanks to the folks over at Winfuture.de, we now know that Huawei plans to unveil the Y6 Scale later this month.
The affordable smartphone will be available for purchase for around $165, but details about its release on the market are still a mystery for the moment.
The good news is that we have information on Huawei Y6 Scale's specs, so we won't have to wait until July 30 to find out more details about what the device has to offer.
Based on these spec, we can say that Huawei Y6 Scale is quite a good deal considering its price, though the smartphone's popularity will depend on region.
4G LTE support and 5-inch HD display
Without any further ado, let's see what the Y6 Scale strong points are and what the phone's weaknesses are. First of all, Huawei's affordable smartphone will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with Emotion UI on top.
On the inside, the handset will be equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
Huawei Y6 Scale sports a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution. On the back, the device packs an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there's a modest 2-megapixel selfie camera.
Last but not least, the handset will be powered by a 2,200 mAh battery and is said to offer 4G LTE support along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS with AGPS.
