14 DAY TRIAL // Elite Dangerous is set to receive a couple of significant updates in the coming months, including a full tutorial and fleet carriers.
We’ve been playing Elite Dangerous for so long that we forget some people are just now trying to start their own space adventure. While the game is fun, it’s also incredibly complex, and Elite Dangerous throws the players into the action with a limited tutorial and little to no experience regarding flight, docking, and fighting mechanics.
It’s fair to say that Elite Dangerous is one of the most complicated games out there, although players usually tend to stick to their favorite type of gameplay. If you like to mine or shuttle passengers, it’s not all that much to learn. If you’re an explorer, you can focus on surviving in deep space, and so on.
Any help is welcome
Players in Elite Dangerous learn from experience and by reading a lot, but the upcoming tutorial that will land with the September update should make thing a lot easier.
“We will be introducing a whole new starting experience right from the cockpit of a commander's first ship, a loaned Sidewinder. With clearer instructions and guidance during the beginning of Elite Dangerous, we believe this will lead to a more engaging way to learn the basics and help commanders understand the tools they have at their disposal to become fully-fledged pilots. We can't wait to see how these new commanders will involve themselves in the galaxy in the same way many of you have!” wrote the developers.
Also, PC players will also get access to Arx, the new currency that can be either purchased with money or earned just for playing the game. Finally, in late December, Elite Dangerous will get the long-awaited fleet carriers.
Players will be able to buy them, but their price is not known. Also, they will be using a special type of fuel, and the developers from Frontier Developments didn’t want to reveal how it will be obtained.
