The exploit is still present and working right now

One of the latest methods to get a massive amount of credits in Elite Dangerous is going to be nerfed by the developers soon.

Elite Dangerous is a vast and very complex game, and there is almost always some exploit that you can use to make a lot of money really fast. Since most of the ships and equipment are quite expensive, getting the required credits can be a grind.

On the other hand, the credits are just a small part of the equation. A lot of other items can’t be bought, and users need to work really hard to find what they want, and having a ton of money is not going to help. It can make things a little bit easier, but not by much.

The community is protecting itself

Some of the players in the Elite Dangerous community are taking their roles very seriously, and Commander made a post on the official forums explaining how a particular exploit allows people to earn about 100 million credits per hour. A prolific player could quickly get a billion in a day.

It’s easy to imagine that not everyone in the community was happy about the fact that their “secret” was outed to the developers. It got so bad that the community manager intervened to delete all the insults and threats.

The exploit is still present, and it evolved getting multiple identical missions for cleaning the 37 Ursae Majoris Silver Creative Sentry Skimmers. It could be done from the air, which meant that the mission could fi finished quickly and with a minimum of efforts.

The starting location is 37 Ursae Majoris 6 D - Kirtley Observatory, so if you want to give it a shot before the developer nerfed it, this where you need to go. In fact, that location registered about 10,000 players in a single day.

The developers from Frontier answered quickly: “A fair amount distasteful replies to this thread. As such, have removed the comments and disrespect conveyed toward the thread starter. Thank you Cosmo for being responsible, taking the time to report a possible bug in the game. QA will check the reported issue this week.”

Don’t despair; another exploit will soon surface. Or you can do the right thing and work for it. It’s your choice.
