We have some good news and some bad news for Elder Scroll Online players. Although everyone is excited to try out the new chapter in the ESO saga, it looks like we have to wait a little longer. On a positive note, we won't have to wait too long.

Zenimax has just announced that due to coronavirus pandemic, the launch of Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor expansion has been delayed by a week. This means that PC players will be able to download Greymoor starting May 26, while PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will get it about two weeks later on June 9.

Despite the challenges, we are still on track for Update 26 and the Greymoor Chapter to launch only one week late. Now that Update 26 is on the PTS, we are confident that we will be able to launch Tuesday, May 26th on PC/Mac and Tuesday, June 9th on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This, of course, could change if something happens outside of our control. Remember, we haven't launched a major ESO update while working remotely before, and unforeseen problems can and do crop up.

Zenimax is calling these major updates for Elder Scrolls Online “chapters.” They bring a lot of new content to justify the fact that they are sold separately. Greymoor is the latest adventure in the Elder Scrolls saga and adds a completely new area – the unforgiving homeland of the Nords.

Players will be facing a Vampire Lord who seeks to take over Tamriel in a year-long tale. Besides the promising story, the expansion will introduce new public dungeons, delves, and trials. Vampires have been completely revamped and are now available for free to all Elders Scrolls Online players, not just those who buy Greymoor.

Last but not least, there will be new events as well, and antiquities, a new activity system that allows players to become archaeologists as they explore the world of Greymoor and beyond, playing a new series of minigames.
