From eSterling

I have to confess that I'm not a big fan of digital photo frames. Such a device is just another piece of digital equipment on your desk and no matter what you say, I doubt you will lose precious time refreshing the images. Some people might like it, but I find it a little bit redundant.

However, if you absolutely have to have one of these, then I recommend you take a look at eStarling's new digital frame that boasts a rare feature: Wi-Fi capability.

The eStarling (apparently, the manufacturer didn't have the inspiration of choosing a name different from the company's) operates independently of a personal computer and its wireless capabilities give it an edge over other digital frames.

According to the press release, "users can send photos over the Internet to an eStarling frame via email or camera phones; they can also use an eStarling to send photos to be shared with the owner of another eStarling frame".

Even more, the owners can use the eStarling Connect, the company's free photo management site, to sign in to receive photo RSS feeds from photo sites such as Yahoo Flickr, Google Picassa and Webshots.

Jeff Luo, founder and CEO of eStarling, Inc, explains how the wireless photo frames were created and how he sees the future.

"Since its trial launch in early 2006, we have been receiving daily requests for eStarling from consumers, indicating strong market demand for this Wi-Fi digital photo frame," he says. "The future for us looks even more promising as we see our product setting a unique trend, whereby users extend their social networking experience on PCs to a comfortable environment, such as their home or office," Mr. Luo added.
