One of the less known OEMs that recently chose to team up with Microsoft for the release of new Windows Phone handsets is eSense. The Chinese company plans to launch a few smartphones in the coming months, and one of the upcoming devices is called eSense Q47.

Although the name doesn’t say too much to Windows Phone fans, perhaps the fact that it’s slimmer than the iPhone 5s (7.6mm) would probably make it more appealing to customers who plan on switching from another mobile platform.

In fact, one of the reasons eSense advertises the Q47 as thinner than the iPhone 5s is the high market share iOS accounts for in China, so there should be enough customers wanting to try this one out.

There’s even more good news, as purchasing the eSense Q47 will be possible without customers having to break the bank. As WMPoweruser points out, the smartphone will soon be available for purchase for only $110 (€82) outright.

This is an exceptional price, which seems to undercut Nokia’s latest Lumia smartphones as well. The Lumia 530, which is supposed to be the cheapest Windows Phone 8.1 available on the market, has been priced at around €100 ($132), but the phone sells for $110 (€82) in some countries.

Until Nokia Lumia 530 lands in China, Windows Phone fans may want to check the eSense Q47 out and see how it performs. In fact, even if the Lumia 530 is priced similarly as the eSense Q47, the Chinese handset seems to be superior when it comes to specs.

Although eSense Q47 and Nokia Lumia 530 are equipped with the same processor, a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 unit, the former packs 1GB of RAM whereas the latter comes with only 512MB RAM.

In addition, the Q47 sports a much larger 4.7-inch HD (720p) IPS LCD OGS (One Glass Solution) capacitive touchscreen display. Even though it comes with only 4GB of internal memory, users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via the microSD card slot.

On the back, the smartphone packs an enhanced 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while on the front there’s a secondary 2-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.

eSense Q47 measures 135.8 x 67.2 x 7.2mm and weighs only 100g (battery included). Speaking of which, the device is powered by a 1750 mAh battery and offers multiple connectivity options, including 3G (WCDMA), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, dual-SIM and FM Radio.
