In a world where tablets sell for around $400-$500 on average, eMatic decided to offer a trio which go a fair bit lower than that, much like the Kindle Fire from Amazon, which is being made in the millions because of its popularity.

The three new tablets that eMatic created, eGlide Funtab, eGlide XL2 and eGlide PRO, are said to deliver “exceptional price-to-performance levels.”

Seeing how they sell for as low as $120 (85.76 Euro, or somewhat more, in Europe) that choice of words is fairly justified.

Surfing the web, sending and receiving emails, watching HD movies and TVs, reading e-books and playing music are all possible on the tablets.

Spec-wise, eGlide utilized a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, along with 4 GB of built-in Flash storage.

A microSD card slot lets up to 32 GB be added, while the company also provides cloud storage and access to Kobo's online library.

Furthermore, Android Apps will fully work on the newcomers (Android 2.2 is used, except on the eGlide Pro, which has Android 2.3).

Speaking of hardware features, the eGlide FunTab and eGlide Pro both measure 7 inches in diagonal, while the eGlide XL2 has a display of 10 inches.

Other specifications include WiFi support, 3G, digital camera-video recording, 256 MB RAM (512 on eGlide Pro) and a battery life of up to 6 hours (10 hours with WiFi off).

“Our all-new eGlide Tablet portfolio reflects a deepened commitment to our customers increasing need for price sensitive portable personal media solutions. Our affordable eGlide tablets allow everyone in the family–of all ages their own personal device,” states eMatic General Manager Roy Rayn.

“Unprecedented eGlide media tablet features and ease-of-use extends the appeal of our affordable solutions that effortlessly integrate into everyone’s creative and entertainment needs.”

The eGlide FunTab, eGlide XL2 and eGlide PRO all have multitouch color screens and should already be selling through various online retailers.
