Google indexes everything it sets its 'crawlers' on

While searching for her name on Google, an Australian user came across a database that contained close to 800 customer transactions made by an eBay merchant called shahizanhashim.

“I found that my personal details have been comprised and are floating around in Internet land for all to see,” said the customer according to CyberWarNews.

It seems as somehow all the information got indexed by Google and that’s how anyone could see the transactions, 228 of which belonged to US citizens.

Shahizanhashim apologized to the customers that were affected, stating that they didn’t realize that all the sensitive information was indexed by the search engine.

Lately we’ve seen many of these incidents occurring and it shouldn’t surprise anyone if more of them pop up. The only positive thing that I can think of is that hopefully, they’ll at least learn from their mistakes.
