Dying Light 2 is one of the most anticipated games of 2020, but so are Cyberpunk 2077 and Vampires: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. What's worse is that all these three are expected to launch around the same time.

Paradox's Vampires: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is coming out in March, while Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled for release in April. Dying Light 2 doesn't have a release date yet, but developer Techland confirmed it will be out in Spring 2020.

Although we're more than six months away from their release, we've already seen a couple of gameplay videos for Cyberpunk 2077 and Bloodlines 2, but the folks over at Techland have been a little bit quiet.

Well, that's not the case anymore, as Dying Light 2's developer has just released a 26-minute gameplay video that shows some brutal combat, viciously evolving infected, and the day/night cycle, a brand new feature that wasn't available in the first game.

The previously unreleased video was initially presented behind closed doors at E3 and Gamescom 2019 and showcases how player's choices have far-reaching consequences on both the narrative and the world around them.

Dying Light 2 is set in a modern world plunged into a Dark Age. The City is the last bastion of humanity, where factions fight for power and regular people are trying to survive. You play as Aiden Caldwell, an infected survivor with exceptional agility and brutal skills who's trying to survive the disease that killed billions.

The video is captured in 4K and it's obvious that Techland has poured in all the technical knowledge it could to make the game look absolutely stunning. Almost all animations in the half-hour demo look like cinematic cutscenes, even though they aren't. The parkour mechanics are extremely fluid as well, so we won't have to worry about that either.

The next step will be to learn when exactly Techland plans to release Dying Light 2 because from what we're seeing in this gameplay video, there's no doubt that everyone is going to want to play it at launch.
