Actor pranks fans, but Jimmy Fallon did it first, and better

Partly responsible for the box office success of former wrestler turned actor Dwayne Johnson, aka “The Rock,” is the way he keeps in constant contact with his fans. If there’s one celebrity who makes the most of social media, it’s The Rock, who’s always updating his feed with funny videos and photos.

Whether they’re from the set of his movies or from his personal life (which usually means “of him at the gym”), they’re bound to get plenty of attention. Take for instance his latest Instagram video, in which he laughs off an on-set injury that broke his ring finger on the right hand.

In typical The Rock fashion, he says he “ain’t got time to bleed” and laughs at the idea he might need to take a break to have a doctor look to his injury.

As you probably guessed, the reason he doesn’t need a doctor is because he’s wearing prosthetic fingers, presumably for a scene. Sure, The Rock would probably still laugh if he sustained this injury in real life, given his impressive career and presumed high pain tolerance, but this just wasn’t the case here.

His biggest problem is that Jimmy Fallon did this first. And he did it better, because in his situation, it was the real deal. Check out the video below for the comedian’s graphic account of the gruesome injury he sustained at home, when he tripped on his wife’s rug and fell.
