Rainbow Six Siege has proved to be a solid if not spectacular success for Ubisoft and the company is aiming to deliver more content for fans of the tactical shooter in the coming Season 2, via a new operation that will be called Dust Line.

According to information from the official Reddit for the title, the first new character gamers will be able to get access to is called Valkyrie and will use a powerful SPAS-12 shotgun while also employing sticky cameras to have a clear image of where her enemies are and make sure that her team has expanded tactical awareness.

Blackbeard is the second character coming to Rainbow Six Siege in Operation Dust Line, and he is a capable attacker who can use a shield to both protect himself and stun enemies and can also use a Desert Eagle for long-range engagements.

According to the development team, those who have a Season Pass will be able to secure the two new characters and maps associated with them on May 9, and there are hints that the shooter will soon get access to the SEALS as a separate task force.

Presumably, Dust Line will get more details in the coming weeks, including a full look at the new environments gamers will fight through and other gameplay tweaks.

Rainbow Six Siege is dealing with a cheating scandal

Ubisoft and the ESL are running a competitive league for the shooter that has delivered some pretty solid matches but is also affected by accusations of cheating that the organizations are criticized of ignoring.

An official response has been offered on Reddit, explaining that there are different ways of detecting cheaters and dealing with them and a recent incident has not registered as a 100 percent positive on either of the two systems that are used for Rainbow Six Siege.

The ESL adds, "Everybody in the community is entitled to have their own opinion on who they believe is cheating, or doping, or match fixing, but as a league we need to be certain. Public suspicions and circumstantial evidence do lead us to investigate, to double check anti-cheat data, to look at all the material, and to fine-tune our detections, but in the end we need to have proof."

Presumably, Ubisoft is working to introduce new ways of detecting cheating when Operation Dust Line launches to guarantee the long-term competitive future of Rainbow Six Siege.
