It's that time of the year when most developers update their games with holiday-themed content, and that's available for mobile games as well.

One of the most popular aRPG titles for Windows Phone devices, Dungeon Hunter 5 has just received a major update that brings many new features and improvements.

The update has been delivered to Android and iOS platforms earlier this month, but Windows Phone users had to wait slightly longer for the new version of the game to hit Windows Store.

The update brings a new environment for the new missions, as part of the always-expanding storyline. Discover the new Boon Sister Temple to access these new missions.

“It’s time to go further into the brutal and harsh Forsaken Sands to put an end to the reign of the Ashkardians, unbury Legendary gear, and make room for a very special event!” claim developers.

Discover new gameplay during this Christmas event

Players will now be able to enter a two-week-long Christmas event, discover new gameplay, complete a large variety of quests to collect Ornaments, and win special Christmas-branded gear and minions.

Gameloft also added a new Special Dungeon where players must overcome the new traps, defeat Hipoxys the Gatekeeper and get Ashkardian Tickets.

These Ashkardian Tickets must be used wisely since they provide the deadliest weapons. Three new armors and weapons have been introduced at launch, and many other will be added for the duration of the update.

Moreover, legendary gear is now available for veterans. Players can also use the Ashkardian Tickets to discover a scorching new Stronghold and its trap, and to reap 4 mythical new minions to make it impregnable.

You can now download Dungeon Hunter 5 for Windows Phone for free via Windows Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 8.1 and up.
