This December, the Duggars are returning to TLC, albeit in a smaller formation. The network canceled the hit reality series 19 Kids and Counting in the wake of the Josh Duggar molestation scandal, but it’s given Jill and Jessa Duggar their very own special.
Make that plural, because as per the network, there will be at least 2 of them.
The first one, Jill & Jessa: Counting On, airs in December, but TLC is eager to show fans already a glimpse into what they should expect from it, having released a first trailer. You can see it below.
Apparently, the topic of the Josh Duggar molestation scandal will not be off-limits. At the very least, if Jill and Jessa won’t get into details (and they probably won’t, because they will be trying to keep the focus on themselves), they will discuss the way the scandal impacted their lives.
“We were devastated. We couldn't believe it. You have to wonder, how did this happen?” Jessa says for the camera. Adds Jill: “You're angry and hurt and all those emotions all mixed together. I cried a lot of tears. I still do.”
While the blow was a mighty one, the two insist that they’re looking forward to putting the scandal in the past, so they can focus on the exciting changes that are coming their way. Counting On will also focus on Jessa’s giving birth to her first baby and Jill’s missionary work in Central America.
