14 DAY TRIAL // Oppo A53 is supposed to be a mid-ranger with some high-end specs. Unfortunately, if not priced properly, the smartphone might not be as popular as the Chinese company might hope.
According to a new report, Oppo A53 has been officially introduced in China this week and will soon be available for purchase in just one color option: golden.
Although Oppo did not announce it yet, we expect the A53 to be available for purchase in other parts of the world through the company's online store. Sadly, there's no word on pricing options yet.
The good news is we know everything there is to know about Oppo A53's hardware and software configuration, so here it goes.
For starters, the A53 ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with ColorOS 2.1 on top of it. The smartphone sports a generous 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and feature 2.5D curved glass.

Another interesting aspect about the Oppo A53 is the fact that it comes equipped with Qualcomm's new octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor, which is clocked at 1.5GHz.
Also, the smartphone packs an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
Another strong point of the Oppo A53 is the 13-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and video recording. The phone's rear-facing camera packs Samsung's ISOCELL sensor while in the front there's a 5-megapixel secondary camera for selfies and video calls.
Design-wise, Oppo A53 features a smooth metal body obtained by spraying fine zircon sand after 120 minutes of oxidation that condenses into a uniform layer.
Oppo A53 comes with both 4G LTE and Hybrid Dual-SIM support, but also other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS with AGPS support.
Last but not least, the smartphone is powered by a decent 3,075 mAh battery that features fast charging technology.
