14 DAY TRIAL // Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, the expanded version of the original medieval fantasy role-playing game from Capcom, is finally coming to PC in January of 2016. The studio promises better visuals, improved fidelity, not to mention support for controllers as well as mouse and keyboard.
Dragon's Dogma launched worldwide back in 2012 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. While it represented Capcom's first foray into the more Westernized medieval fantasy role-playing game genre, it made quite an impression on fans thanks to a lot of clever concepts.
Unfortunately, despite pleas from PC users, Capcom didn't talk at all about a possible PC version of the RPG.
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is finally coming to PC
Now, after confirming the franchise's debut on PC through Dragon's Dogma Online, the Japanese studio also mentions on its Unity website that Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is coming to the Steam service for PC in January of 2016.
In case you're not up to speed, Dark Arisen arrived as an expanded and enhanced version of the original title in 2013, and it ncluded all the DLC as well as various enhancements.
"Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is an awesome, inspired, sprawling fantasy game set in an open world, where players create their own unique character and supporting, AI-controlled characters known as Pawns, which can be 'rented' and shared online by other players. Battle giant mythical beasts, master a variety of distinct vocations, and explore atmospheric dungeons to uncover endless items and loot," Capcom explains.
On the PC platform, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen boasts the same content and features, not to mention high-resolution graphics and improved fidelity, according to Capcom.
Besides the better visuals, PC users will be able to play the RPG with a mouse and keyboard, but also with controllers like the Xbox One or Xbox 360 ones.
