Video game developer BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts are announcing that they have finalized the list of changes that are coming to Dragon Age: Inquisition with a new patch 9, which will probably be launched just as the new The Descent downloadable content arrives on August 11.

The official announcement explains that gamers will be able to use a new multiplayer character named Pala, a Silent Sister and dwarf that will augment any group with her set of skills.

BioWare states, "Although Silent Sisters take an oath to never speak, their actions on the battlefield say volumes. The Sisters refuse to be defeated in combat and will fight until their deaths. With Pala's strength and determination, she can be a powerful ally to the Inquisition."

Pala seems primarily designed to take damage from enemies and allow other characters to deliver powerful attacks, but gamers can also use the To the Death ability to weaken the most powerful opponents and focus attacks on them.

The ninth major patch for Dragon Age: Inquisition is also making some other tweaks to the game and is dealing with some bugs and some problems that PC gamers were having with the graphics card tech.

The Descent will take gamers into the Deep Roads

After delivering Dragon Age: Inquisition updates and new characters linked to the multiplayer side of the title, BioWare is also offering more single-player content for gamers to explore.

After a few days of teasing with lore articles about the Deep Roads, the studio announced that it was working on The Descent, which is set to be introduced on all platforms tomorrow.

Gamers will be able to face a powerful attack from the Darkspawn deep inside the road network created by the dwarfs.

BioWare is promising some of the toughest battles in Dragon Age: Inquisition and has suggested than even a dragon creature of some kind might be involved.

The studio has also made it clear that it plans to deliver more single-player content for the action role-playing game in the coming months.
