Microsoft has just launched Windows 10 Threshold 2, but as usual, some users want to start from scratch and perform a clean install to avoid any issue that might occur after updating their PCs.

Fortunately, Microsoft has already released new ISOs for Windows 10 Threshold 2 (November Update), so if you want to do that, simply downloading this PCs and setting up installation media is enough.

Both Windows 10 Threshold 2 32-bit and 64-bit ISOs are available for download, so select the version you need, generate the link, and you're good to go. Several languages are already supported, but make sure you select the one you want to use.

“We have reached Windows 10 maturity”

Everyone is recommended to download and install Threshold 2 as soon as possible because it includes plenty of improvements supposed to make Windows 10 more stable and reliable on all PCs.

In a statement released today, Windows boss Terry Myerson says that the November Update is living proof that Windows 10 reached its maturity, so the platform should perform significantly better after the update.

“With this free update we have reached the point in the platform’s maturity where we can confidently recommend Windows 10 deployment to whole organizations,” Myerson said. “With this update, there are improvements in all aspects of the platform and experience, including thousands of partners updating their device drivers and applications for great Windows 10 compatibility.”

Threshold 2 thus becomes the new default version for Windows 10, so all users upgrading from Windows 7 or 8.1 will get straight to this version.

Given the fact that the update brings so many performance improvements, Microsoft wants everyone to stick to this version, so if you've already installed it and reset your PC, for example, Threshold 2 is then automatically re-installed. This way, Microsoft tries to make sure that all users are upgraded from RTM build 10240 to the new 10586.

Update: Microsoft has removed Windows 10 Threshold 2 ISO download links, so if you use the above links, you get 10240 RTM instead of 10586. Windows Update is now the only way to get Threshold 2.
