The development team at Valve is announcing that it is deploying a major new update for DOTA 2, labeled Spring Cleaning, which is designed to tweaks some of the core mechanics of the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena title while also adding some new features.

For each hero gamers can now use a specific set of hotkeys, making sure that they can always use a keyboard configuration that suits their play style and there are also a number of other changes to the overall game options.

Arrows are now being used on the mini-map of DOTA 2 instead of Xs to better indicate movement and gamers will get information about a tower's attack range and current target when one is selected.

The official announcement explains that gamers can now deploy camera group control hotkeys to link to one location and quickly move between it and the hero that they control while neutral spawn locations can be seen when using sentry and observer wards.

The DOTA 2 Armory has been improved in terms of design and usability and Valve has boosted the number of initial and maximum slots that it offers so that players never run out of space.

The full store can also be accessed in the MOBA, and gamers also have more options when it comes to chat, with separate choices to mute one's voice and text communication.

DOTA 2 is also getting a lot of fixes and economy tweaks

A list of all the changes that are being made to MOBA by the team at Valve can be seen by clicking on the button at the end of this article, with the developers focused on improving the user interface, the core gameplay and the economy that powers the title.

At the same time, the Spring Cleaning update is not focused on introducing any kind of balancing tweaks focused on the characters, although the development team might make some in the coming weeks.

DOTA 2 is continuing its evolution after the Shanghai major, which had some production issues but delivered some very solid competitive action.

Valve will continue to offer improvements as it prepares to announce official plans for the next edition of The International, which will take place during the summer.

DOTA 2 is one of the most important MOBA titles on the market, but constant changes are required in order to keep the game competitive with League of Legends from Riot Games and Heroes of the Storm from Blizzard.
