Gamers are still evaluating the changes made by Valve

The development team at Valve in charge of DOTA 2 is continuing to deliver tweaks to the major Balance of Power update for the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena title, trying to make sure that gamers have the best experience possible with the game during the holiday period.

A new small fix is now implemented, fixing some abilities, including Vladimir's Offering, Ring of Basilius, Doom's Infernal Blade and Faceless Void's Time Walk, while also making some small tweaks to the official economy.

Presumably, the company is continuing to use its tracked data and the feedback coming from gamers to evaluate the core mechanics and make further improvements.

Balance of Power is the most recent huge update for DOTA 2, allowing gamers to get access to the Arc Warden, the Fractured Guardian, and his abilities.

The new character can use Flux, Magnetic Shield, Spark Wraith and Tempest Double to support allies and to make life on the battlefield harder for the enemy team.

Zeus also gets access to a new set of Arcana in the Balance of Power content, which is designed to enhance his power and includes a new model, better textures and animations as well as enhanced effects, a range of cosmetic tweaks that gamers can buy if they love the hero.

Desert terrain is also coming to DOTA 2, with gamers able to use it if they have bought the Compendium for The International 2015, accompanied by its music pack.

A new Colosseum map and Nestled Treasure II is also delivered, with Valve saying, "Filled from a new lineup of the past year's treasures, the Nested Treasure II also offers a chance to receive a Set Redemption Token, which can be used to select any non-rare item contained within the other possible treasures."

The 6.86 update for DOTA 2 includes a wide range of changes

The list of tweaks made to the MOBA is extensive, and gamers are best served by going to the official site to see how the core mechanics and their favorite heroes are affected.

Map changes have been implemented; the neutral camps have been modified, and there are new items that gamers will be able to gain access to in DOTA 2.

Valve has not said whether it plans to deliver small changes to the 6.86 version of the game in the coming days and weeks or whether it will allow the community to explore all the changes and create a new meta before it tries to deliver any other tweaks.

DOTA 2 remains one of the most popular gaming experiences of the moment, and the studio will continue to improve balance and add new content to make sure that it remains the loyalty of the community.

The most important competitors that it has to deal with are League of Legends from Riot Games and Heroes of the Storm from Blizzard, both of which are getting significant tweaks during 2016.

The International remains the eSports tournament with the highest prize pool and it's possible that the 2016 edition of the compendium associated with it will break records.
