Even for the minimum requirements you'll need a good rig

We're less than two weeks away from the release of id Software's Doom Eternal, and the developer decided that it's time to unveil the official PC specs requirements for their game. Judging by what's been listed on Steam, not everyone will be able to run Doom Eternal even on the lowest settings.

On the opposite side, Doom Eternal can hit 1,000fps if you have the right hardware. Anyway, if you're content with 60fps, just like many gamers with average PC configurations, here is what you'll need: a 64-bit processor, 64-bit Windows 10, Intel Core i7-6700K or better, or AMD Ryzen 7 1800X or better, 16 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 (8GB), RTX 2060 (8GB) or AMD Radeon RX Vega56 (8GB), and 50 GB available space.

If your rig does have everything of the above, you'll be able to run Doom Eternal on high-quality settings and still obtain 60fps (1440p). Yes, for ultra settings, you'll probably need a little bit more than what's listed above.

As far as the minimum requirements go, here is what you need to be able to play Doom Eternal: a 64-bit processor, 64-bit Windows 7/64-Bit Windows 10, Intel Core i5 @ 3.3 GHz or better, or AMD Ryzen 3 @ 3.1 GHz or better, 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (4GB), GTX 1060 (6GB), GTX 1650 (4GB) or AMD Radeon R9 290 (4GB)/RX 470 (4GB), and 50 GB available space.

For those with PC configurations that meet the above requirements, Doom Eternal will run at 60fps / 1080p only when the game is set to low-quality settings.

Doom Eternal launches on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 20, and those who pre-order the game will also receive Doom 64 for free as a bonus. A Nintendo Switch port will be available later this year.
