Bethesda confirms that it won't talk about a new The Elder Scrolls game for a very long time, as it's focusing its internal team on Fallout 4, while also helping out Zenimax Online Studios with The Elder Scrolls Online.

Bethesda has been around for quite some time, delivering intense role-playing experiences, chief among which being The Elder Scrolls ones. More recently, however, it has also acquired the rights to the Fallout franchise and started, after Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, to alternate between the two series.

After releasing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim back in 2011, the studio is gearing up to debut Fallout 4 in November of this year.

The next Elder Scrolls title won't be revealed for a very long time

Now, while talking with DualShockers, Bethesda Vice President of Marketing Pete Hines confirms that the studio is focusing 100% on Fallout 4 and that Elder Scrolls fans won't hear about a new RPG in the series anytime soon.

According to Hines, the full Bethesda Game Studios team is working on Fallout 4 and is set to start building future DLC, not to mention mod support, after the actual launch this fall.

At the same time, Hines recommends Elder Scrolls fans to check out The Elder Scrolls Online, the sprawling MMORPG set in the universe, especially since Bethesda is working closely with developer Zenimax Online Studios to release new story-based expansions, such as the Imperial City at the end of the month, and then with other major add-ons.

Even so, gamers shouldn't expect an announcement for the next single-player Elder Scrolls title anytime soon, especially since Bethesda is notorious for not confirming projects until they're almost ready for launch, as seen with Fallout 4.

The post-apocalyptic RPG is going to drop on November 10, worldwide, across PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms. Soon after launch, mod support will be released for PC, and then onto the Xbox One, with the PS4 set to follow right after.
