Algoriddim today offers djay 2.2.2 for iPhone and iPad, the latest version of the company’s mobile DJ-ing tool which now features a much needed sound limiter and tons of other new stuff, including some fixes.

“djay transforms your iPhone or iPod touch into a full–featured DJ system,” the developer says. “Seamlessly integrated with your music library, djay gives you direct access to all your favorite songs and playlists on your device.”

The developer begins by thanking customers for their continued feedback, stating that “Over the past months we have been hard at work improving almost every aspect about djay 2 in this free update for you.”

The company then proceeds to outline some of the biggest changes in this update. The flagship feature is the audio limiter: “no more distortion no matter how much you turn up the bass, filter, effects, etc.” says Algoriddim. Users can turn this feature on and off in Settings > Advanced.

A new setting allows users to turn harmonic match on/off (Settings > Audio Analysis), and there’s a new option to select albums, to only use songs from queue, or to use the current playlist selection as the source.

You can now keep songs in the queue after they are played, and there’s a new gesture added that allows you to “swipe down the load button to automatically play the next track from your current playlist selection,” according to the changelog.

The song loading menu is now available using tap-and-hold on the load button, while iDJ Pro users are getting a firmware upgrade that fixes channel swap issues. Compatibility with iOS 7 is also improved. Various bug fixes and performance improvements are included, such as a fix for a volume drop flaw.

Algoriddim ends the announcement with another thank you and the encouragement to continue to rate the app with every update, including this one.

“Whether you are a professional DJ or a beginner who just loves to play with music, djay offers you the most intuitive yet powerful DJ experience on an iPhone or iPod touch,” Algoriddim concludes.

For a developer like Algoriddim, customers’ feedback is invaluable, so don’t hesitate to let them know what you think about each update, including to criticize new features and changes that may not work for you.
