Prince Charming will be a supporting character no more! Disney has announced plans to make a live-action comedy starring none other than the man of the dreams of such beauties like Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.

Details are kept under wraps, but from what I gather, the plan is to retell all these 3 stories for the price of one. THR, for example, describes the upcoming film as a “revisionist take on the fairy tales.”

If that turns out to be true, Prince Charming will probably be like a modern Casanova. A player, a serial womanizer, and whatever else we’re calling them these days.

The same report notes that Disney already has a script for the film by Matt Fogel, and David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and Tripp Vinson on board as producers.

No release date has been made public, but Disney is quite in a rush to make as many of these live-action movies as possible, to strike the iron while it’s hot. It’s already had massive success with “Snow White and the Huntsman” and “Maleficent,” and is now working on the sequel to the former, “Beauty and the Beast” and is reportedly trying to get Angelina Jolie to return for “Maleficent 2.”

Live-action Disney movies are what vampire movies were a few years ago, or what superhero flicks are to this day. The studio’s rush to get as many projects through the door before the bubble bursts is understandable.

That said, who do you think would be just perfect for the role?
