14 DAY TRIAL // The team in charge of the Disney Infinity franchise is announcing that the much-teased 3.0 version will be launched for North American gamers on August 30 of this year on all platform, while gamers in the United Kingdom getting it on August 28 while no date is revealed for Europe.
The Starter Pack for the new version of the title, which includes the Star Wars themed Twilight of the Republic play set, will deliver Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano figures and the adventures associated with them.
There is also Star Wars content associated with Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, and Zeb Orrelios.
Gamers can also get access to figurines for Joy, Anger, Sadness, Disgust, Fear, Mickey, Minnie, Mulan, Olaf, Sam Flynn and Quorra.
The core mechanics of Disney Infinity are also being tweaked to make it easy for gamers to take part in combat and to use vehicles to achieve their objectives.
Those who place a pre-order will be able to get access to the Toy Box Takeover, an action adventure title focused on multiplayer.
In it gamers will have to choose a favorite character and then join others as they battle in location that include the Old West, Pirates of the Caribbean, Upper Manhattan from Marvel and the Volcano Lair from The Incredibles in order to stop Syndrome from using the Merlin's magic wand to destroy the world.

The second game associated with the franchise will allow gamers to take part in kart races that feature a character from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel.
There are nine tracks to choose from, called Sugar Rush, Frozen, Tatooine, Star Wars location, San Fransokyo, Agrabah, Monsters Inc., Halloween Town, Gravity Falls or Marvel’s Knowhere.
Speedway has three core modes, time trial, race and combat and gamers will have to both compete fairly and use items to take out opponents in order to win.
Disney Infinity will continue to get more content and updates during the rest of the year.
The game has managed to become a solid force in the toy based video game space, where it needs to compete with the Activision made Skylanders, which is getting a SuperChargers expansion, and with the coming LEGO Dimensions from Warner Bros.
