Codemasters has just confirmed that its upcoming Dirt 5 rally game will be coming out slightly later than originally announced. The game was pushed back by a week, so instead of releasing it on October 9, it will now be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 16.

Even so, fans who bought the Amplified Edition will be given early access to the game. If you're one of those fans, you'll be able to play Dirt 5 on your chosen platform starting October 13. Also, Codemasters announced that the game is headed to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 later this year, but if you buy the game on current-gen consoles, you'll receive a free upgrade when the new version comes out.

Dirt 5 developers managed to tap two world-renown voice talents to narrate the story-driven Career mode: Troy Baker (The Last of Us) and Nolan North (Uncharted). Codemasters' upcoming off-road racing game will feature the biggest ever Career mode in the series' history, spanning five chapters and over 130 events.

Apart from that, the game will feature 12 car classes, over 70 routes in 10 global locations, as well as new locations. There will be one huge new feature that Dirt 5 will bring to fans to the series, but it hasn't been revealed yet.

Besides offering three days early access to the game, the Amplified Edition of Dirt 5 also includes three ready-to-race cars in their garage (Ariel Nomad Tactical, Audi TT Safari, and VW Beetle Rallycross), as well as three new player sponsors with fresh objectives, rewards, and liveries, along with boosts to currency and XP earnings.

On top of that, Dirt 5 Amplified Edition players will get access to every single post-launch addition to the game, including a minimum of 12 cars, 60 Career events, new player sponsors with fresh rewards and liveries, and more items for features that have been announced yet.
