Diddy brought his Bad Boy Records artists out for the label’s 20th anniversary last night at the BET Awards 2015, held live at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The tribute was one of the most talked about moments of the gala, but not for the reason you think.

Halfway through the performance, Diddy fell in a hole in the stage. Literally so, as the video below will confirm.

Luckily, he had people on either side willing to help him out quickly, so he didn’t miss a single beat. He got up and continued performing as if nothing had happened, so kudos for that.

The tribute also included Lil’ Kim, Faith Evans, Mase, Pharrell and French Montana, and delighted fans with some of the label’s biggest hits. Celebrities in attendance loved every second of it, getting up from their seats to dance and sing along.

The people watching the gala at home were more amused by Diddy’s mishap, even though his recovery time was just as impressive. Reactions online ranged from disbelief (“am I the only one who saw Diddy fall?”) to amusement (“Tupac made Diddy fall,” a reference to their well-documented feud).

Below are some samples from Twitter. You have to admit, it was funny.
