The development team at DICE has been very active when it comes to the Battlefield 4 first-person shooter in the past few weeks and now the studio is asking those who count themselves as fans to come up with a cool name for the coming community map.

The official Twitter account of the series says that those who have a good idea can share it on the official Reddit.

The company also makes it clear that it will need to test the most picked options before deciding on the official name of the coming community map for Battlefield 4.

In order to help gamers in the creation process, DICE explains the backstory of the environment that was created.

The company states, "An Indonesian faction of scientists has secretly been working on a human virus, tested on monkeys for use in warfare. Something went wrong some weeks ago, and the monkeys escaped the facility, wreaked havoc on the nearby valley and news about this incident eventually trickled in to Russian and Chinese intelligence's ears. This resulted in both factions promptly sending forces to seize this research."

The community map for Battlefield 4 was created by DICE based on the ideas and desires of the fans who are still playing the shooter.

Night Operations are also set to arrive in September

The developers are adding a new version of the classic Zavod map, which has been tweaked to allow players to rely more on sound than on sight in order to detect enemies and catch them unaware.

Other tweaks are also being made to the core gameplay of Battlefield 4, and it seems that the company is also planning to introduce a weapon balance pass based on the information offered by the community.

The community map does not have an official launch date, but gamers should probably expect it in October or November.

The financial data offered by Electronic Arts shows that a new Battlefield core video game is set to arrive in 2016, although no information about it has been revealed.

In the meantime, DICE will launch the new Star Wars: Battlefront this fall, designed to accompany the coming The Force Awakens movie.
