Video game developer Blizzard might be thoroughly engaged in its newer projects, like Hearthstone and Overwatch, but it is also devoting plenty of attention to the already-venerable Diablo 3, mainly by making sure that the community remains engaged with the action RPG experience in a variety of ways.

The official site is now announcing that the currently running Season 5 of the title is set to end on Friday, April 15, at 5 PM Pacific Daylight Time, CEST and KST, which means that there are two more weeks for dedicated players to try and achieve their aims for the period.

Season 6 of Diablo 3 will be launched about two weeks later, on Friday, April 29, at 5 PM PDT, CEST and KST, and more details about the coming rewards and challenges are set to be announced in the interim period.

Blizzard might also deploy a major patch for the video game during the two-week period between Seasons to better balance the game and deal with bug reports that the community has been making recently.

The Season concept for Diablo 3 allows players to create new characters and try to secure a range of unique rewards while pushing up the leaderboards, at the same time getting access to gold, gear, and Paragon levels.

The rollover means earned rewards are converted

Seasonal heroes will be transformed into normal or hardcore characters, with Blizzard saying, "There's no need to delete any characters to make room for them; your Seasonal heroes will continue to use the same slot they currently occupy in your roster after the rollover. You’ll also be able to use Season Rebirth to convert any non-seasonal character into a Seasonal, level-one character once the next Season begins."

Gold, Paragon experience, Blood Shards, items and more will also be transferred to the non-seasonal part of Diablo 3.

Reaching level 70 with a hero in Season 5 will give gamers access to exclusive leg and boot transmogrifications, and completing other challenges also offers access to portrait frames and exclusive pets.

The leaderboards associated with the mode will be wiped when the period of play ends on April 15 and will open up against two weeks later.

There are still rumors that Blizzard is working on a second major expansion for Diablo 3, which is to be announced during the Blizzcon event, but the company seems more focused on events than on adding a lot of new content at once.
