The development team at Bungie has attracted a lot of negative attention from gamers after it announced the kind of content that will be offered in the Limited Edition associated with the coming The Taken King expansion and revealed that those who already own the core game and the first two DLC drops would be unable to get access to them.

Now the studio is suggesting on the Reddit for the title that it might be getting ready to offer a range of rewards for those players who had been present when the title launched.

Community manager Deej explains that the company is listening to the feedback gamers are offering on the issue of the Limited Edition for The Taken King.

He adds, "We'll talk more about the things we're doing to celebrate the year-one Guardians who helped us build this community. I'll also revisit our goals in offering different versions of The Taken King. Ever heard the old adage about trying to please everyone?"

Apparently, the first details about the rewards for players who have engaged with Guardians since it was launched will be offered in the Weekly Update that is coming on Thursday.

It seems that the company wants the Limited Edition for The Taken King to be only aimed at newcomers and has something else in mind for veterans.

Destiny is designed to continue to evolve

Since the social shooter was first introduced, some gamers have complained that Bungie did not deliver all the promised features and basically expected players to pay more for expansions to truly enjoy the experience.

The studio has countered that it needs player feedback to see how the title can be improved and that it is also offering a lot of improvements for free.

The Taken King will be the first expansion to deliver a new zone for gamers to explore, the massive dreadnought controlled by Oryx, and there are also three new subclasses for gamers to use.

There are also weapons and items that can be used to improve the fighting capabilities of all Guardians.

The Taken King for Destiny will be introduced on all platforms on September 15, and those who get the title on the PlayStation 4 and the PS3 will be getting access to some extra content.
