Bungie confirms that one of the big aspects of the upcoming Destiny patch 2.0.0 will concern weapon balance, as the studio is listening closely to everything the community has to say about the state of the game's guns and implementing it into the upcoming update.

Destiny is set to receive some massive changes in September alongside its biggest expansion ever, The Taken King, which is set to introduce a variety of fresh content across the game's many facets, from the Player-versus-Environment battles, to the Player-versus-Player competitive Crucible, or even new story missions with a fresh plot line.

However, until then, Bungie is also going to release the Destiny update 2.0.0 for all owners of the game, which should make a suite of major changes to the multiplayer shooter.

The major patch 2.0.0 brings weapon balance changes

Among them will be balance changes for an array of weapons, according to Bungie Community Manager David Dague, who talks with fans on the official forums.

According to the studio's representative, weapon balance will be a big aspect of the major patch, alongside many other improvements based on feedback from the community. He explains that there are weekly meetings where special teams discuss the suggestions made by fans on the forums, as well as their complaints and requests.

While he declined to say just what weapons or categories will be modified by the update, he does explain that any valid points made by fans will be taken into consideration.

What's more, in order to further highlight the role Bungie attributes to the Destiny players, he confirms that another representative will be added to the studio's team, in order to better communicate with and better advocate for the community overall.

Until the first actual details for Destiny update 2.0.0 are shared by Bungie, you can freely speculate on what weapons will get nerfed or buffed by the upcoming patch, ahead of its release in September.
