The final piece of Destiny's The Taken King expansion, the long-awaited King's Fall raid, is set to go live in the multiplayer shooter at 10am PDT today, September 18. A few important details, like the recommended light level, have also been revealed, alongside a teaser trailer for the upcoming adventure.

Destiny received its third and biggest expansion ever earlier this week, in the form of The Taken King. The impressive add-on has managed to make quite an impression on the general community, as millions of fans across PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 are flocking back to the multiplayer shooter experience.

While The Taken King brought all sorts of new story missions, cooperative Strike encounters, not to mention new loot and mechanics, the biggest part of it, the King's Fall raid, isn't available just yet.

As promised, the special encounter is set to go live later today, September 18, all around the world.

King's Fall goes live in just a few hours

Bungie has provided some more details on the official website, confirming that the raid will be available for The Taken King owners starting at 10am PDT.

"The time has come once again to put the Destiny community to the ultimate test. Teams are poised, ready to explore the unknown. Trusted allies have formed into tightly knit Fireteams prepared to take on any challenge, together. For many a Guardian, the pinnacle activity of The Taken King’s player experience still beckons," the studio says about the upcoming raid.

Bungie recommends those who want to enjoy the raid as intended to have a minimum light level of 280. Access to the raid isn't restricted by any quest, so players will be able to jump right into the raid. Bear in mind that you should try to hit the level cap of 40 and the light level of 280 if you want to survive and not be an anchor for your teammates.
