The development team at Bungie is ready to offer some more details about the way the experience associates with Destiny once the game gets the new Taken King expansion and moves into an entirely new stage of its existence.

Luke Smith, the creative director, explains in the official Weekly Update that the studio has big plans to tweak quests, which are defined as a combination of activities and challenges that tell a story and take a gamer on a journey.

The developer explains that, "The implementation of Quests and Bounties in Year One was a foundation, but it was clear to us and the community that it was an area for improvement, especially if we wanted to rely on questing even more in Year Two."

The Taken King expansion for Destiny was created with more such moments in mind, but the already existing content is also getting a range of changes in order to offer more quests.

Gamers will be able to carry more Bounties, the interface will now track them, and quests and an official screen will allow gamers to see the rewards they will be able to get.

The 2.0 update for Destiny, which will presumably be offered alongside The Taken King, is designed to introduce more tweaks to guns, balance, destinations, enemies and progression, with more details coming on all of them soon.

Oryx will be the core of the coming expansion

The big six-player raid that will be offered in The Taken King will be centered around the new boss, which brings his forces to the solar system in order to track and kill the Guardians who took out his son, Crota.

The Taken King will also introduce a range of new strikes, all of them designed with new features and better rewards.

Gamers will also be able to explore a major new dreadnought location and take out new enemies.

Guardians will have an increased level cap, and the expansion comes complete with three new subclasses as well as weapons and items that can make all characters more powerful.

The Taken King will be launched on all platforms on September 15, and gamers will also be able to play the quests that were previously only offered on PlayStation-branded devices.
