Bungie has promised that it will deliver new content for Destiny before the end of the year, and it seems that soon gamers will be able to take part in a new adventure called A Tale of Two Guardians, which is designed to take advantage of the coming Refer-a-Friend system.

Gamers who take part will be able to get access to new emotes and to a range of other rewards, including primary, heavy and special telemetry and well as legendary weapons, although the developers are not offering any details about the actual drops.

A Tale of Two Guardians for Destiny will probably be launched on Monday, November 23 when Refer-a-Friend also goes live, because it is clearly designed to give players a simple way to interact with it.

It will include the following missions: Comrades in Arms, Wanderers, Forged in Fire, Our Own Story, Pushing Back the Darkness, Heroic Challenges, Lighting the Night and More Tales to Tell.

According to the Destiny DB tracker, gamers will mostly have to work in pairs connected by Refer-a-Friend to explore the various modes and challenges that the first-person shooter has to offer.

It seems that A Tale of Two Guardians will also introduce more ways for gamers to get access to glimmer as well as increased bonuses for those who take part.

Destiny might also get a new reputation package in the coming weeks, designed to offer more rewards for the veteran gamers who are interested in helping newcomers achieve their potential in the shooter.

It's unclear whether the emotes associated with Refer-a-Friend can also be purchased for Silver by those gamers who do not want to play with another Guardian to access them.

Destiny's December update is focused on weapon balance and exotics

The social shooter might be more than one-year-old, but it is still getting a regular influx of new gamers and Refer-a-Friend is a way to make sure that the community embraces newcomers and shows them the best that the title has to offer.

As the new feature is being implemented, Bungie is already exploring the changes that it plans to make in the major December update for Destiny.

The company says that it is evaluating all the included weapons to introduce more balance-focused changes, with the overall aim of making sure that gamers use as many categories as possible depending on the challenge that they face.

The studio is also planning to add some new exotics and to bring back some of the best items that were offered in the past with updated capabilities.

This new content is a direct result of the team's decision to introduce microtransactions to its game, allowing players to spend real-world money to get Silver and then use it to purchase content from the Eververse Trading Company.

Rumors have been talking about a Destiny 2, which Bungie is devoting most of its resources to, designed to be announced in early 2016 and set to arrive on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 before the end of next year.
