We already know a lot about the weapon-based changes that Bungie plans to make to Destiny in the major December update for the social shooter and players can now start planning which exotics they intend to pick up to improve the performance of their Guardians.

The studio has been delivering information on the coming pieces of equipment via the official Instagram account, and there are some truly impressive items that gamers can pick up and use.

The entirely new exotics for Destiny are the ATS 8/ Tarantella, a Hunter Chest, and the Twilight Garrison, a Titan Chest, both of them designed to significantly boost the two character classes when they are obtained.

Destiny has not said how it plans to deliver the two pieces of equipment, but gamers can probably look forward to some special events created around them.

When it comes to exotics that have already been featured during the first year of Destiny and are returning with a solid set of stat increases, the development team is delivering: MIDA Multi Tool - scout rifle, The Armamentarium - Titan chest, Dragon’s Breath - rocket launcher, Plan C - fusion rifle, Nothing Manacles - Warlock gauntlets, Super Good Advice - machine gun, Apotheosis Veil - Warlock helmet, No Land Beyond - sniper rifle, Peregrine Greaves - Titan greaves, Radiant Dance Machines - Hunter greaves, Achlyophage Symbiote - Hunter helmet, Hard Light - auto rifle, and Bones of Eao - Hunter greaves.

Bungie says that during the coming weeks it will also offer gamers a look at the perks that will be associated to the new exotics.

Destiny focuses on weapons in December

Exotics are a great way to boost the power of a Guardian, but Bungie is also interested in making sure that the rest of the firepower options that gamers have access to are well balanced.

There are plans to improve auto rifles and to limit the power of pulse options while also giving gamers a chance to use their sidearms and hand cannons.

Update 2.02 for Destiny, which arrived earlier in the week, improved the reward system for both Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris and the development team also quickly delivered a hotfix to deal with some Engram and item-related issues it had previously introduced.

The December update for the social shooter will presumably arrive around the 15th of the month and will also include special events for the holiday season.

The studio has not offered any sort of information about them, but it's very probable that gamers will be able to get more emotes via the Eververse Trading Company, and more missions and quests will introduce new cosmetic items.

Bungie has already said that microtransactions will be used to make sure that the live team has the resources to deliver more free content for the social shooter.

Meanwhile, Activision has suggested that it plans to continue to offer classic expansions for the game for a period, which might mean that we will get an official announcement about a major content drop early in 2016.
