The team at Bungie might be focused on introducing more activities for fans of Player versus Environment action in the big April update for Destiny, but it seems that the company also has plans to offer some extra lore for the universe of the social shooter.

Ryan Paradis, the live events lead developer, is quoted by Game Informer as saying that Grimoire Cards will be introduced to offer more details about the state of the world and the effect that players action have.

He explains, "I don’t want to spoil any of the new lore, but there are new grimoire cards for some of the new activities, some of the gear you’ll encounter, and even some bosses you’ll be fighting. We know how passionate the fans are about the lore we put in the Grimoire and wanted to make sure to scratch that itch with this update, too."

The new lore is probably linked to both the At the Gates quest and to the new Blighted Chalice strike that Bungie is delivering in the new April update for Destiny.

Next month, players will also get an increase in the Light level cap to 335, and a new activity in Prison of Elders that's designed to deliver some solid rewards for high-level players, and a full list of new equipment and weapons should be revealed soon.

Destiny is not bringing back old raids

According to the development team, there are also plans to tweak the core mechanics of the Crucible, although it's not yet clear whether they are planning to make any tweaks to the matchmaking, with more details coming in live streams that will take place during the two coming weeks.

Unfortunately, Bungie, despite requests from the player base, is not interested in revamping the older Crota's End and Vault of Glass raids to make them accessible to those who have become keen on the social shooter after The Taken King was launched.

The April update is designed to make up for the relatively limited impact that recent events for Destiny had on the community.

For those who want more content for the video game, Bungie is working on a paid expansion that will be launched before the end of the year.

Activision has also confirmed that a full sequel will be launched next year, although details about it will not be revealed anytime soon, with rumors saying that it was delayed because of quality concerns.
