Video game developer Bungie is announcing that the 1.2.0.5 hotfix for Destiny is now live, and it is also ready to offer gamers a look at the changes that are being made to the title, which are relatively extensive given the track record of the company.

Gamers on all platforms will be prompted to download the new patch as quickly as possible in order to make sure that the tweaks are spread among the community in the shortest amount of time.

The 1.2.0.5 hotfix for Destiny deals with some problems linked to weapons, the Player versus Player mechanics, and some other technical issues.

The Nepal Aid shader and emblem are now also enabled in Destiny.

Bungie has previously said that hotfix 1.2.0.5 for Destiny is the final one that will be deployed before the company offers the massive 2.0 version of the game, which is at the moment slated to arrive before The Taken King expansion arrives.

The studio also encourages the community to keep delivering feedback about the mechanics to make sure that it incorporates them in future patches.

The Taken King will expand the boundaries of Destiny

The expansion comes one year after the shooter was first introduced, and Bungie claims that it will allow the game to show its true nature, with a range of tweaks that target all the core mechanics and some major content additions.

Gamers will get a new big six main raid, difficult to complete, which will allow them to face Oryx, a new boss that is coming to get revenge on those who have hurt his son Crota.

His dreadnought will be the new area to explore, filled with enemies to take out and secrets to reveal.

Bungie is also adding three new subclasses to Destiny and tweaking the progression system to focus more on experience, while also offering more levels for Guardians to gain.

A whole arsenal of extra weapons is coming in The Taken King, and there are also plans to deliver a massive rebalance for all the guns that are already part of the game.

Finally, Bungie is offering a new Special Edition of Destiny and planning to also reward those who have played it since it was first launched.
