Video game developer Bungie is not yet ready to announce the official date for the launch of the December update for Destiny, but the company is saying that current plans mean that it's likely that gamers will get access to a range of tweaks for the social shooter before the end of next week.

According to a new update on the official site, there are still changes made to the core mechanics, and that means the studio is not ready to deploy a full set of notes to detail all the ways in which the title is evolving.

It seems that the development team is planning to use the December update to introduce some major changes to the Titans and to the way players employ them in battle.

The team explains that "Ever since their Solar brothers and sisters entered the explosive mix of Destiny with the arrival of The Taken King, they’ve been quite the hot topic of conversation. Even before the first fiery salvo landed in someone’s face, there has been plenty of feedback about our armored friends."

More details will be offered in a coming developer blog created by Sage Merrill, the senior design lead, who will explain the way Titans will evolve to become more interesting to play, with each of the included subclasses getting its set of changes.

Bungie is also announcing that 339,900 gamers have unlocked the Worm Gods’ Servant emblem, which is offered to those who can deal with the first Challenge Modes tweak made to the King's Fall raid, playing either on normal or on hard.

The war priest is affected at the moment, offering gamers an increase in difficulty and better loot, and the same concept will be used during the coming weeks of December for the other featured bosses.

Destiny will also introduce more microtransaction opportunities

Many fans were unhappy when the developers announced that they would launch a new Eververse Trading Company in the shooter to allow players to get some cosmetic elements for their Guardians using a new Silver currency, which can only be obtained by spending real-world money.

The company has suggested that it will deliver more emotes during the coming months, with some of them clearly designed to celebrate Christmas and the New Year.

At the moment, gamers can also get access to some unique content by using the new Refer-a-Friend system, which allows a veteran and a newcomer to experience Destiny together and to get access to a range of content including some powerful legendary swords.

The December update will also offer a wide range of balance changes to weapons as well as extra exotics for gamers to equip.

Activision has suggested that regular new expansion for Destiny will be announced and launched in the first months of next year, although no details about the included content have been offered.

Rumors are talking about a full sequel that's in development at Bungie, set to be offered in the autumn of next year on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
