Bungie announced Destiny 2's Warmind DLC, and it brings pretty much everything that a player needs, including a storyline and new, shiny loot.

Despite the somewhat rocky start for Destiny 2, and following Bungie promises to do better, it finally looks like things are finally coming into place. The new Warmind DLC, the second one to be included in the Season Pass, is making its debut on May 8th, and we can finally see what’s it all about.

Bungie and Activision have been teasing the new expansion for Destiny 2 for quite a while, and we already knew that it has something to do with Rasputin, which is the last surviving AI core after the collapse. It turns out that it’s more than just a simple DLC, and it expands a great deal more on the original storyline.

Going back to Mars

Bungie has enlisted the help of Vicarious Visions, the studio that originally built the PC version of the game, and it looks like they are now in a much closer partnership. From the looks of it, both of the studios worked on this DLC, so people might notice that the expansion is a little bit different from the previous content.

First if all, players will be going back to Mars to fight the Warmind Rasputin, and a Hive army, so there’s not going to be a shortage of action. Furthermore, a new type of public event called Escalation Protocol in which players will have to resist wave after wave of enemies, ending with a massive boss fight. What’s interesting is that the bosses at the end of the public event won’t be the same and they will be changed every week to provide a little bit more variation.

Of course, pretty much all of the others aspects of the game will be seeing changes and upgrades, and that includes the special abilities, the loots, and pretty much everything else in between. Players should really keep an eye out for new Exotics that will arrive, including some from the previous game.

Destiny 2: Warmind is expected to launch on May 8th for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
