"This release includes GParted 0.26.0, patches for libparted for FAT file system operations, and other improvements," said Curtis Gedak in the announcement. But GParted 0.26.0 is not the only new feature of the GParted Live 0.26.0-1 release, which is now powered by Linux kernel 4.5.1 and includes the latest security patches and core components from the Debian GNU/Linux Sid software repositories, with which it was synchronized as of April 29, 2016.
Additionally, the GParted Live 0.26.0-1 Live CD comes with a patched version of the libparted library, fixing crashes that occurred when checking FAT32 filesystems while also improving the recognition of resized FAT32 partitions on Microsoft Windows operating systems.
