THQ Nordic has just announced that Darksiders III will be coming to Nintendo Switch next month. Fury, the third horseman, cracks her whip again when Darksiders III launches on Nintendo Switch on September 30, both digitally and in retail stores.

More importantly, the Nintendo Switch version of Darksiders III comes with both DLCs, Keepers of the Void and The Crucible, and is available for just $40 / €40 / £35.

In Darksiders III, players step into the shoes of Fury, the third horseman, as they return to an apocalyptic planet Earth. The hack-n-slash action-adventure follows Fury’s quest to hunt down and dispose of the Seven Deadly Sins. The Charred Council calls upon Fury to battle from the heights of heaven down through the depths of hell in a quest to restore the balance between good and evil and prove that she is the fiercest of the Four Horsemen.

Unlike the previous two horsemen, Fury is a mage, her form evolving throughout gameplay and with it, her powers and weaponry. For the first time in the history of the series, Darksiders III game world is presented as an open-ended, living, free-form planet Earth, dilapidated by war and decay, and overrun by nature.

Players must face hordes of enemies and unlock puzzles in order to fully traverse the world of Darksiders III and advance the story. Those who played the first two games will eventually noticed that Darksiders III has less puzzles and that the combat system is akin to soulslike games.

However, developers added a new Classic combat mode that make fights feel similar to the first two games in the series. The most important change introduced is the ability to interrupt attacks with a dodge move, something that wasn’t possible in the original combat mode. You can switch between the two modes on the fly in case you don’t like one or another.
