Chorus, not to be confused with David Gaider's musical video game, is a brand-new project coming to PC and consoles in 2021. Developed in-house by Deep Silver, Chorus is a space-combat shooter where players will take control of dual protagonists: ex-cultist Nara, and ace pilot, and Forsaken, a sentient AI starfighter and her closest ally.

We're happy to learn that Chorus is a story-driven single-player game, in which players can unlock a wide array of weaponry and abilities, as they fight to free the galaxy from the Circle, an oppressive cult that will stop at nothing to ensure complete subjugation.

We’re delighted to announce this exciting new IP. From the beginning, our focus has been on delivering amazing moment to moment gameplay to evolve the spirit of classic space flight shooters. We are fully leveraging the power of gen 9 hardware, allowing us to create richer, more detailed, ray-traced environments, all at 4K and 60FPS,” said Tobias Severin, Studio Director at Deep Silver FISHLABS.

Developers promise a dark new universe that teems with mystery and rife with conflict. There will be many epic locations to explore, including sprawling space stations and strange planes of existence beyond our own.

Although zero-g dogfights remain the core of the gameplay, Chorus balances the scale and spectacle of space exploration with frenetic, fast-paced action.

The game has been fully engineered to take advantage of the latest hardware, so expect enhancements like ray-traced reflections, 4K resolution at 60fps, advanced enemy ship destruction, higher quality volumetric, and richer environmental effects.

Deep Silver's new IP, Chorus is set for release on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, and PC sometime in 2021. More importantly, Chorus will support Smart Deliver on the Xbox platform, so those who get the game on Xbox One will receive it for free when they upgrade to Xbox Series X.
