Video game developer From Software and publisher Bandai Namco are announcing that they are planning to deliver the first downloadable content pack for the title at some point before the end of fall, although the company is not yet willing to offer any kind of details about it just yet.

At the moment, the two companies are focused on making sure that the experience associated with the title is the best it can be, which probably means that it needs to deliver patches on both home consoles and the PC to improve performance and eliminate crashes.

So far, the team has not commented on the issues that many gamers are facing when trying to get past the first bonfire with classes other than the knight.

Information about what the first downloadable content pack for Dark Souls 3 will offer will probably only be revealed at some point during summer.

Dark Souls has been getting some solid DLC, and From Software will certainly try to create an experience that can be positively compared with Scholar of the First Sin or to the Old Hunters expansion for Bloodborne.

Bandai Namco will certainly try to extract as much extra revenue from the DLC associated with the new game as possible, especially given the fact that it is the final one that the studio will create in this universe.

Before launch, From Software and the publisher revealed that there are two packs that would be launched for Dark Souls 3, with both of them offered to those who pick up the Season Pass or the Deluxe Edition of the title.

The developers are preparing to work on other ideas in the immediate future

The development of DLC for Dark Souls 3 might take a year or two, and after that, the studio is aiming to explore other ideas, although it is not talking about the kinds of video games it will create, only that it wants to come up with other unique titles.

Some fans are speculating that the company is still exploring the idea of creating another Bloodborne for Sony, although no official information about plans for that universe has been revealed.
