If you liked the fast-paced parkour action in Ghostrunner, then you'll be thrilled to know that developer One More Level has already started working on a sequel. The new game will be published by 505 Games and has been confirmed to arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Although it did not benefit from a huge budget, Ghostrunner still managed to sell more than 600,000 copies, which made it a very successful new IP. Since their game has become so popular among players, the folks at One More Level have decided to bring Ghostrunner to next-gen consoles by the end of 2021.

As a subsidiary of Digital Bros Group, video game publisher 505 Games announced that it has decided to double its investment for the development of Ghostrunner 2, contributing with an initial budget of €5 million.

We are particularly excited about the future release of Ghostrunner 2. Together with One More Level, we have created a thrilling and engaging video game. This new collaboration deepens 505 Games presence within the Polish videogame market, a reality now among the firsts in Europe for the development of video games, new projects, and talents,” said Raffaele Galante, co-CEO of Digital Bros with his brother Rami.

Obviously, it's too early to talk about a release date for Ghostrunner 2, but those of you who haven't yet played the first game will be able to do so when it will be launched on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S later this year.

Ghostrunner is a first-person cyberpunk action video game set in a grim, dystopian future. The game combines parkour elements and one-hit one-kill mechanics to make combat fast and intense. It promises to offer a unique single-player experience backed by fast-paced, violent combat, and an original setting that mixes sci-fi with post-apocalyptic themes.
