When CD Projekt RED announced the delay of Cyberpunk 2077 to November 19, many smaller developers decided to push release dates for their games to December. Now that the Polish giant postponed the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 to December, several games that should have been out next month have been pushed to 2021.

One of these games is The Medium, a revolutionary psychological horror developed by Bloober Team, the studio behind Layers of Fear. The Medium was supposed to be launched during Holiday 2020 on the Xbox Series X/S and PC, but it's now been delayed to January 28, 2021.

After much careful thought and consideration, today we have made the difficult decision to delay the launch of The Medium to January 28, 2021. It wasn't an easy choice to make, but one made due to the COVID-19 situation in Poland, as well as the current schedule of other games on the market. Bloober Team remains committed to delivering our biggest, most ambitious, fear-inducing experience to date.”

Although the game has been delayed for just one month, the extra time will be well spent by the folks at Bloober Team, as their game will be more polished and more bug-free than ever. We do not doubt that the team behind The Medium has taken the best decision they could under these circumstances, and one more month of waiting is definitely not that long.

The additional development time will allow us to add further polish, ensuring we deliver our innovative, genre-pushing vision of interactive psychological horror. Rest assured, the delay will not stop us sharing information with you, and you can expect us to unravel a few more layers of The Medium's great mystery soon.”

If you didn't know, The Maw, the main antagonist in the game is voiced by Troy Baker, the American voice actor behind so many iconic characters, including Joe Miller from The Last of Us series, Booker DeWitt from BioShock Infinite, and Bruce Banner from Marvel's Avengers.
