It's unlikely it will have multiplayer, but not impossible

More details have been revealed about Cyberpunk 2077, the upcoming game from the now famous CD Projekt Red studio.

After the massive success the CD Projekt Red studio had with the Witcher franchise, everyone is now looking at their next upcoming title called Cyberpunk 2077. It’s a significant change for them, moving from a medieval fantasy setting to a cyberpunk universe, but at least they will keep the RPG formula.

The studio has been tightlipped about Cyberpunk 2077 and very little information is available. In fact, except for an amazing teaser trailer released five years ago, pretty much nothing is known about the game. At least that was the case until now.

Financial conferences are not boring

You might think that a financial conference is not attractive for gamers, and you would be right most of the times. On the other hand, these bits of info that are usually meant for investors are actually quite interesting.

The presentation was headed CD Projekt Red’s president and joint-CEO Adam Kiciński, but it was in the Polish language, and some things might have gotten lost in translation. The basic idea is that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be a single player game, with no microtransactions.

Another piece of relevant information is the integration of multiplayer, which would be something new given the history of the studio. Adam Kiciński refused to answer questions regarding the multiplayer, saying that for now they are only going to focus on the single player aspect.

Since Cyberpunk 2077 is supposed to be an RPG, it’s likely that a traditional multiplayer mode won’t be made available, but CD Projekt Red ‘s boss didn’t deny it either.

And, as Kiciński revealed during the conference, the first details about Cyberpunk 2077 are going to be released before E3 2018, which is scheduled to start on June 12, 2018.
