There are plenty of ways to get a good deal on Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service, but most of them are tied to … other subscription services. The following deal is aimed at anime fans who also love to play games but can’t afford to pay the full price for their favorite titles.

Crunchyroll and Microsoft have just announced they have teamed up to offer Premium subscribers and new users three months of Xbox Game Pass for free. The promotion is meant to celebrate the start of Virtual Crunchyroll Expo, which will be streaming free from August 5-7 only on the company’s official website.

So, if you’re a new user or a Crunchyroll Premium subscriber, you automatically qualify for the offer. However, if you already have an Xbox Game Pass account (even if your subscription expired), you will not be eligible for the promotion. Only new Xbox Game Pass users can get the free months from Crunchyroll, and only if they are living outside Asia.

With the Xbox Game Pass subscription, players can enjoy more than 100 PC games, an EA Play membership that grants access to Electronic Arts titles for PC, alongside additional rewards and exclusive content, Xbox Game Studios titles the same day as release, as well as member discounts and other deals.

It’s also worth mentioning that access to Xbox Game Pass for PC will be available to any new user who signs up for a Crunchyroll Premium free trial, not just those who are already subscribed to the service.

Crunchyroll is a distributor, publishers, production and licensing company focused on streaming anime, manga, and dorama. Currently, the service has more than 5 million subscribers and over 120 million users. It offers a huge anime library of more than 1,000 titles and 30,000 episodes alongside Crunchyroll Games, e-commerce, consumer products, live and virtual events, and more.
