14 DAY TRIAL // Activision continues with the remaster craze and the next game on the list is called Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, which is actually the old Crash Team Racing from the glory days of PlayStation 1.
There is no doubt that Crash Bandicoot is one of the beloved characters from the old days of gaming and one of the few that managed to survive multiple console iterations. The character appeared in all sort of titles, including platformers and racing games.
Since everyone is remastering old games, titles such as the original Crash Team Racing seem to be a perfect fit, especially since the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy was a success. And you can be sure that more of these old titles are on their way.
Crash Bandicoot is no stopping
Racing games are not always about glamour and gorgeous graphics. They can only be fun, and it certainly looks like Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled fits that bill.
“Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is built from the ground up and remasters the original CrashTM racing game by bringing the characters, karts, tracks, and arenas to modern console HD graphics. Fans will be able to see Crash and friends’ expressions and antics in beautiful detail as they blast each other with power-ups and whiz around the corners in all the original racetracks,” say the developers.
Players will get access to lots of familiar characters, such as Crash, Coco, Dr. Neo Cortex, and many others. But the best feature is the integration of multiplayer, which is going to elevate the game to new heights.
The developers from Beenox also promised a Nitros Oxide Edition, which offers the Nitros Oxide character from the beginning, along with a special Hovercraft kart. If players don’t get this special edition, they can still get the characters and the hovercraft by playing the game.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is expected to arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox One X on June 21, 2019. The PC platform hasn’t been mentioned.
