14 DAY TRIAL // One of the most beloved franchises now in Activision Blizzard's portfolio, Crash Bandicoot is getting a fourth installment this year. The US company has just announced that it's about time for a brand new game to make its way to fans.
Dubbed Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, the game is set for release on October 2. Pre-orders are already available starting today on all compatible platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Unfortunately, there's no mention of next-gen consoles, so we must assume it won't be launched on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X when they arrive later this year.
The good news is Crash Bandicoot 4 is not a remaster, but a full-fledged sequel which introduces a fresh art style for the main hero. Story-wise, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time picks up after Neo Cortex, Dr. N. Tropy and Uka Uka were last stranded on a distant planet. The trio manages to escape, ripping a hole in the fabric of space-time in the process.

Apart from a new art style, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time introduces new powers and abilities, as well as new weapons. Throughout the upcoming adventure, players will stumble upon four Quantum Masks, the guardians of space and time, which will give them the ability to bend of rules of reality and gain advanced ways to overcome major obstacles in the game.
Two of them have been revealed today, the Time Mask and Gravity Mask, which slow everything down and allows Crash to platform upside down. As mentioned earlier, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is already available for pre-order and those who buy it digitally will gain access to the Totally Tubular skins.
